Brittney W. is a WISe Coordinator at You Grow Girl! who facilitates meetings, determines resources and connects external collaterals. She finds peace in supporting the community and can often relate to participants that she has worked with. Brittney strives to become more attentive and vocalize what she feels and needs in the workplace. It can be challenging separating work and personal life in this field, and Brittney makes sure to take breaks when needed. She can often lean on her close friends and family when any of her personal needs are not being met.       Lina K. has recently celebrated her one-year anniversary as the Billing Specialist at You Grow Girl! Some of her daily tasks look like inputting data and billing clinicians for the time they spent with each participant. Lina has been a long time Ambassador for You Grow Girl! and is proud to support whenever she can. She expressed the grass is always greener on the other side and a chapter in her life is closed when she is not feeling overwhelmed by that area in her life anymore. I had the honor of representing You Grow Girl! today at Starbucks for our Women’s History Month Non-Profit Advocacy Showcase, hosted by Women’s Impact Network. It was incredible looking around the room and seeing all of the women who support our Seattle communities. Women truly do it ALL and if you haven’t already, thank a woman in your life for everything she contributes at work, at home and in her community 👏🩷💪

The Interagency Academy Recovery Campus in Seattle is the only school in the area specifically for youth in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. They can connect students to dedicated staff that support and inspire their continued recovery. They have on-site recovery meetings and encourage and develop external natural supports for their students. The school is a lifeline for recovering addicts in Seattle. If the school is shut down, it can cause harm to all of the students by not providing them with the resources that they are in dire need of.
