Saturday was a remarkable day at the Back-to-School Festival, with 600 to 700 families in attendance. We were proud to represent 'Knowledge' at the Resource Fair, providing essential information and resources to our community. 🎉🎉

Celebrating #ProfessionalEngineersDay! Young minds from Y.O.U. gained hands-on experience in engineering at the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center thanks to Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society Northwestern University. Activities included bridge building, paper airplanes, and culminating in a tour of the design workshop. These experiences highlight the benefits of engineering, sparking their interests and potential career paths and providing opportunities to challenge problem-solving skills, creativity, and innovation.

The annual Don Baker Circle for Youth Garden Party🌱was filled with community, learning, and fresh produce! Guests were updated on the latest Y.O.U. youth-led achievements and initiatives in the garden and we harvested a variety of produce including little cucamelons 🍉Thank you to garden expert Lissa from The Talking Farm for sharing your expertise with us! ⭐ Spirit Week at Youth & Opportunity United: Building Community and Belonging ⭐ Our recent Spirit Week was a tremendous success, with one of the standout days being "Super Squad!" Our youth dressed up as superheroes and sidekicks🦸🏽♂️🦸🏽, forming teams that sparked fun and electric energy. Seeing the kids come together, build teams with friends, and find a place where they truly felt they belonged was incredible, Belonging is vital for our youth, providing them with a sense of purpose, confidence, and community. When they feel part of a team, they know they have a place in this world where they matter. At Youth & Opportunity United, we are committed to fostering environments where our youth can thrive and grow. This event is just one example of how we create meaningful experiences that contribute to their development and well-being. ❤️ #YouthDevelopment #Teambuilding #Belonging

Summer Showcase Success! ⭐ Yesterday, we had an incredible Summer Showcase where Y.O.U. youth displayed their accomplishments and the skills they gained during summer camp. A huge thank you to everyone who brought their families to support our youth. Your presence made the event truly special. And shout out to the OST team and the rest of the Y.O.U. staff for their hard work in making the event such a success. 😁🤩
