We are thrilled to announce the launch of Youth Inc., the first digital media network dedicated exclusively to youth sports! Co-founded by NFL alum and Fox Sports broadcaster, Greg Olsen, Youth Inc. is on a mission to empower families, coaches, and youth athletes through multimedia content and a premium, on-demand merchandise experience. "As a parent and coach of three young athletes, I appreciate the challenges families and coaches face while trying to make the best choices for their kids,” said Olsen. “If we can create a resource to help them make those decisions, then mission accomplished.” Youth Inc. is co-founded by Fanatics alum, Ryan Baise and former The New York Times & Audacy, Inc. executive, Tim Murphy. Youth Inc. is constantly expanding our network of ambassadors, finding thought leaders at the intersection of vertical and horizontal expertise that will provide utility to youth athletes, parents, and coaches. This week, our audience was introduced to Lauren (Chamberlain) Gipson, former Oklahoma Softball Legend, and Leah Jantzen, MS, MPC, the first mental health and performance coach hired for varsity sports at a high school in the United States. The two sat down for a discussion on Lauren's history in softball, how to manage expectations in sports, and much more. Greg Olsen shares his thoughts on the current youth sports landscape and potential problems surrounding sport specialization: "Unless you are the outlier elite athlete, the best way to make the top level travel teams is to only specialize in that sport, and parents have to make that decision. I don't think they want to do it, I think they're forced to do it, and that's a huge problem."
