Grateful for the opportunity to explore the evolving world of Mass Timber Group construction. Zaga Design Group recently toured two sites: the Colorado School of Mines student housing project, which uses CLT (Cross-laminated Timber) for more efficient construction within height constraints, and an architectural office in Greenwood Village featuring DLT (dowel laminated timber) as both a structural and finished wood panel system. These visits provided valuable insights into the benefits and applications of these sustainable building techniques. Thank you, MTG Summit!

Zaga's holidays wouldn't be complete without our annual gingerbread building! This year, we decided to work together as one team on this masterpiece (with Duke supervising, of course). To keep it interesting, we spun a wheel to determine building type and style, exterior materials and features, and holiday elements. We landed on a cottage style multifamily form, to include brick for the exterior (pez!), a shed roof, columns (pretzels!) and the design had to include christmas lights, reindeer, santa and elves (no small task!). We're pretty proud of the final product and, most importantly, had a wonderful time working together.
