Back again, with another tip from our “Guide to Organizing your First User Conference" Post 3/10, covers another critical tip from our guide. How do you pick a location & how do you pick a date for your user conference? Simple logistical things to figure out, but both extremely important in delivering a great user conference. Here are some tips from our guide to take on board: 📅 Date: Secure your date 6-8 months in advance. For annual events, aim for a four-week buffer around last year’s date (e.g., if last year was July 1st, aim for early June or August). 📍 Location: Consider cost, geographical location, and time of year. Brainstorm potential venues with key stakeholders (VP of Marketing, Head of Finance, CEO, etc.). Make your decision at least 6 months ahead, factoring in city accessibility, facilities, and weather conditions.
