    Research paper discusses how catastrophic weather events are affecting the P&C insurance industry from a macro-economic perspective. The paper highlights ways that GIS, Geographic Information Systems, can be utilized to analyze loss history, trend for future losses and show the correlation between coastal distance and topography with economic losses.
