Activities and Societies: Phi Kappa Phi

Thesis titled "The Structure and Dynamics of Monatomic Liquid Polymorphs". I discovered stable liquid polymorphism in Cerium and found strong evidence for metastable polymorphs in Germanium! See my publications for more details.

    Top Student Award - 2012
Outstanding Graduate Lecturer Award - 2014

    Education

Lead a team of 3 undergraduate students who received course credit to work on this project.

Applied for and won funding to develop an automated growing system using Arduino and Rasberry-Pi with a slew of sensors. The goal was to develop a self contained automated aquaponics growing system.

Open Knowledge-base of Interatomic Potentials (OpenKIM)

    - Present 9 years 10 months

    Science and Technology

OpenKIM is a standard for materials science simulations and approximations. It is an attempt to organize a highly disorganized field and will provide a method unifying and comparing myriad of computational methods for simulating materials. I helped develop the standards for liquids simulations and tests for those simulation methods.
