I volunteered to help on a Habitat house, along with a few of my friends in the winter of 1997. We spent a day shingling the roof.

Projects

  • Data Migration and Updates

Updated data for current school year and updated code base to account for changes in UI and used APIs.

  • Industrial Steam System Monitoring Project

Initially, I was involved in gathering requirements for customer's next generation platform. The design phase followed, which included input from my technical team to help shape the client's vision. We then proceeded to development using the Spring Platform, AngularJS, MongoDB, and iOS for the mobile application.

  • Internal Jira Analysis Tool

    -

Added PDF rendering functionality to a Google Chrome extension written using AngularJS.

  • FedEx ECAM Discovery & Prototype

    -

Defined requirements for, aided in design of, and built a prototype for FedEx's next generation account creation and management tool. Interfaced with existing FedEx services and standards to create a prototype that was used as the basis for the production project going forward. Utilized CanJS, StealJS, and jQuery++ to implement the solution.

  • Amway India Microsite Development

    -

Created site using Adobe AEM for Amway's "I Am Amway" campaign in India. I developed pages and custom components for AEM that could be used across multiple pages and created content that was delivered based on the current date. Integrated with Amway's common base template and leveraged shared component libraries where available.

  • Adobe AEM / HTML5 Development

Originally brought in to do the CQ5 development, I also ended up taking over the HTML5 aspect of the project as well. I developed a solution where CQ5 was leveraged to create content for an HTML5 application. The authoring experience was created to give authors a rich experience developing content that would then be rendered as JSON to the HTML5 client via a custom selector in Sling.

I developed a solution where CQ5 was leveraged to create content for an HTML5 application. The authoring experience was created to give authors a rich experience developing content that would then be rendered as JSON to the HTML5 client via a custom selector in Sling.

Towards the end of the project, I was also given the mantle of the HTML5 work as well. This involved reading the data that had been authored with CQ5, interfacing with existing authentication, SAP, & product APIs, as well as integrating with LivePerson to provide real-time chat capability.

In this project I was able to show how I am seamlessly able to transition between client-side work with HTML5, and server-side development with Java and CQ5. This ability to understand the whole stack is one of my biggest strengths, and this project showcased it quite well.

I was brought back in on an existing project, that I had previously worked, to help transition to its next phase. After ramping up, I took on the task of automating data import tasks as well as data validation tasks.

I worked in Java, leveraging Spring, Hibernate, Spring Validation, & Amazon Web Services (specifically SNS, RDS, EC2, and IAM). I enhanced methodologies around data validation, leveraging the power of the Spring Validation framework. I implemented notifications using…

I worked in Java, leveraging Spring, Hibernate, Spring Validation, & Amazon Web Services (specifically SNS, RDS, EC2, and IAM). I enhanced methodologies around data validation, leveraging the power of the Spring Validation framework. I implemented notifications using the Amazon Simple Notification Service as well. Additionally, I leveraged Amazon RDS to quickly replicate various database environments that would be encountered.

I was engaged by the client to help create a new experience for the BlackBerry 10 platform. The project included injecting ourselves into the client's team and getting up to speed very quickly. Having prior experience in the platform, I was able to hit the ground running and make good progress rapidly.

We were assigned specific areas of functionality to "own" and work on during our time with this client. We engaged in daily scrum calls as well as made occasional visits on-site with the client so that we could establish a solid relationship. Through our work, we again helped this client through a very difficult period and to a successful launch.

I helped my client develop a plan for migrating on to Adobe's CQ5. This included an analysis of existing sites, developing an architecture review, and best practices for CQ5 development. Along with these documentation and analysis deliverables, I also delivered a proof-of-concept for migrating one of the client sites to CQ5, along with foundational components to help them on their way through the CQ migration.

Our team came together to help the client deliver mission critical applications for the Blackberry 10 platform. We worked both remotely and on-site with the client. We were able to augment their existing team with a team of experts in ActionScript development. With our team's help the client was able to meet their promised deadlines and deliver a solution that helped propel them forward.
