About

I am a STEM Department Head at Fusion Academy, a school that offers one-to-one learning for students who need a different approach to education. With over ten years of experience as a tutor and educator, I have developed and delivered engaging and personalized instruction in various STEM subjects, such as biology, chemistry, physics, math, and more. I also have experience building rigorous but concise curriculums that align with the state standards and the students' individual goals, while emphasizing real-world applications and interdisciplinary connections.

In addition to teaching, I am also pursuing a Master of Science in Biology and a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Science (GIS). My research interests include restoration ecology, specifically involving prairies and wetlands, and environmental justice. I am passionate about advancing scientific knowledge and promoting environmental awareness and social justice through education and outreach. My ultimate goal is to use my skills and expertise to make a positive impact on the environment and our society.
