How can you give negative feedback to candidates diplomatically?
Feedback is a tricky thing for Agency Recruiters to give depending on what is said. We don't want to put any legal risk on our clients for slander or discrimination. One time, I gave a candidate honest feedback, "manager didn't think you had enough technical experience with xyz software". The candidate called the manager directly to tell him he was wrong. Often times our hands are tied because we either don't get feedback other than the polished HR response, "We have other more qualified candidates". Or we get feedback that is not constructive". If I can coach a candidate on specifics like being less verbose or more detailed, then I will. I'm happy to help if they want to do better in the next interview.

What's your secret to a winning cold calling pitch?
Care about clients and potential customers. Ask questions and take the time to understand their needs and what you can do to help. Be of service to your clients rather than a selling mindset. The old saying, "People work with people they know and like" is still true today. Get to know your audience and work with people you like.
