"Free the Creative" was a campaign concept built around the theme of the challenges of being truly creative in today’s digital world. Informed by a piece of commissioned research among 400+ animators, art directors, graphic designers, illustrators and digital designers, the team developed story angles to spark discussion about creative freedom and the current state of the creative business. An in-joke info-graphic showing the hurdles that keep creatives from doing their best work was produced. Social media discussion was driven on Twitter and Facebook. Free the Creative-themed cocktail parties were hosted in London and New York. The initiative secured widespread media coverage including USA Today and Fortune and grew Twitter followers by 23 percent and Facebook likes by seven per cent.
