I conduct and facilitate monthly meetings, set and guide the group through agenda items, and plan and implement programs and new ministries. Most notably, I led the establishment and launch of Well Suited for Work, a ministry aimed at tackling the challenges of poverty by equipping jobseekers with interview attire, professional accessories and coaching. I wrote grant proposals for the ministry's start up costs and was awarded $3,000 from the ELCA South Carolina Synod's Growing in God's Mission Community Grant for program year 2020-2021. Show less

As a mentor with Jobs for Life, a faith-based career readiness non-profit geared towards alleviating poverty through the dignity of work, I partner with job seekers to provide encouragement, assistance and support. I work to develop strong and positive relationships by attending weekly classroom sessions, assisting with homework and other coursework and I provide additional employment support including resume assistance, interview preparation and on-going coaching.

WomenSafe, Inc. is a non-profit domestic violence shelter and resource center for victim survivors of relationship violence. As a volunteer, I met a variety of administrative needs in support of the organization's staff and fundraising goals including mailings and other clerical tasks.

As the Outreach Chair, I engaged congregational members in monthly service opportunities, which creatively supported local ministries, non-profits, and community groups in order to foster a meaningful presence within the East Liberty neighborhood. Additionally, I spearheaded the initiative to ensure that all congregation volunteers understood and met the requirements of the Pennsylvania State Child Protective Services Law as it pertains to churches within the state.

As an active member of the Beaver County Anti Human Trafficking Coalition, I collaborated with local organizations and concerned citizens to raise awareness surrounding the realities of Human Trafficking in the Beaver County area and advocated for those impacted by modern-day slavery. As the Vice President of the Denison University Chapter of Active Minds, I gained valuable organizing and leadership skills while raising awareness for and reducing the stigma around mental health issues on college campuses. Responsibilities included: organizing and preparing for weekly meetings, collaborating with other campus organizations, partnering with Counseling Center and hosting campus events such as: Mental Health Awareness Week, Stress Relief Fairs and A Day Without Stigma.

As an advocate with S.H.A.R.E., I was a trained, confidential resource available to victim-survivors of sexual violence on Denison University's campus. In partnership with the university's Health Center, I developed a thorough knowledge of Denison policies as well as local and state legislation and advocated for both change and education through on-campus events and local action.
