Many organizations are unprepared to address unprecedented climate challenges that impact all public management sectors over time, including rising sea levels, extended drought, extreme weather events and natural disasters, human migration, globalization, and rapid urbanization. This degree builds one's capacity to lead an organization or community with the capabilities necessary to assess, prepare, and effectively respond. This degree includes the following courses:

Environment
The Green Club relies heavily on volunteer participation at the American Chemical Chemistry/Chemical Abstracts Service to create a positive change in the city of Columbus. We are dedicated to continuous improvement in the understanding of the relationship between human activities and the environment.
Past and current efforts:
•Organized and planted a 2,000+ sq. ft. pollinator-friendly habitat garden on the northeastern corner of the ACS/CAS campus

•Seeded the eroding northeastern slope near the Olentangy River bridge with various Ohio-native prairie grasses to discourage further erosion
•Facilitates a free tree giveaway sponsored by Green Columbus every spring to encourage canopy growth on privately owned land dispersed around the city of Columbus, OH, in support of the city’s initiative to increase the urban tree canopy to 40% by 2050 -
