You're faced with unconscious bias in resume reviews. How can you ensure fair hiring practices?
Take the time to train, train, train! Managers and interviewers will benefit from this in the end. Training allows us to recognize our own biases which will ensure we are maintaining fair hiring practices at all times. Circle back on these trainings at least once per quarter as a refresher. Remember that sometimes we have unconscious biases that we are not aware of, we must educate ourselves in order to recognize those and remain fair.

You're dealing with frustrated candidates on social media. How do you navigate their backlash effectively?
Always remain professional, no matter how a candidates frustration may affect you. Do not let it ruin your day! Respond with a calm demeanor (if a response is necessary), as this will reflect on the values of yourself as a recruiter and the organization you work for. Keep a level of respect at all times, no matter how tough the conversation may be.

Here's how you can handle interruptions and stay focused as a recruiter.
In my experience, I always prioritize my tasks, identify what needs my immediate attention, and what can wait. Identifying critical tasks is very important, especially if it includes presenting an offer to a top candidate before they decide to accept an offer somewhere else! Always focus on top priorities first thing so when/if there are interruptions throughout the day, you have already tackled the most important and high priority task(s) for the day.

Here's how you can stay positive while handling failure in HR Operations.
We should always maintain a positive mindset rather than viewing setbacks as defeats. We should view setbacks as lessons that help contribute to our professional growth. When we fail it provides us with an opportunity to take a look at our current processes and policies, allowing us to adjust, and provide us with experience on how we should handle similar situations in the future.
