“It is a pleasure to write this letter of endorsement for Ms. Angela Harris, a dynamo of intelligence, experience and a keen sense people which enables her to grasp any situation and make her own. Her due diligence and attention to detail, coupled with a visionary nature, has been the descriptors of our interactions as she is a member of the Jim Vance Media Program's Advisory Committee at Archbishop Carroll High School. The Jim Vance Media Program is a comprehensive four year plan, aimed at high performing incoming freshmen to experience the journalism profession from the principles, practices and techniques, to hands-on experiences in the field. Participation in this program prepares students for the diverse media world of today and the future. The Advisory Committee is comprised of a group who represent the best journalism, entrepreneurs, engineers, media professionals and educators who incorporate the top leaders in digital technologies across local, national and global platforms, as well as, public relations, and business contexts. They provide support by bringing “great ideas and opportunities,” as a result of their position, title, affiliation, name, participation and recognition in their fields. JVMP adds to the genre offerings within the STEM paradigm and “technology” particularly, and serves as a catalyst for creativity across cultures, disciplines and world views within a spiritual framework. As a member of the committee, her contributions have opened doors to our students they might not have been able to walk through. In her capacity of Vice-President of Community Engagement, DCTV, she created a JVMP Media Maker Page which enabled their work to be viewed by professionals, and if selected, would make it to air for the DMV community. Additionally, she has supported our other community partners and embraced the need for diversity when it comes to television programming. Our students have been able to participate in the following campaigns for DCTV: Get Out and Vote, No More Color Lines and the No Exemption from Genome Redemption virtual panel discussion. She is a hardworking, conscientious and creative renaissance woman! I have known her as a College Professor, Dean of the Professional Careers Program (Trinity), Vice-President of Community Engagement, Filmmaker, and Storyteller. Any organization, business, client, or project she is selected for , would be more than equipped with an asset like Angela Harris as a part of the team. I am honored to know her.”
