Our History

AWM was formed as American Women in Radio and Television in 1951 as successor to the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) women's division. NAB voted approval of the new organization, offering complete cooperation and assistance.

Annie was a member of the NCTA Public Affairs committee from 2001 to 2014. She has rejoined the committee in her roles as CCO at Crown Media
