I studied Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power Systems. I participated in a lot of student clubs and activities where I networked with fellow students and built long lasting friendships. My engineering classes were very effective because I "learned by doing" which has helped me visualize how our electric system works. I passed my FE (or EIT) during my last year at Cal Poly Pomona and less than 3 years later, I passed my PE (Professional Engineer) examination to become a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in the State of California.
