“It's rare to find a start-up that's building something so unique and challenging that it stops you in your tracks. When I first heard about Opternative, I wondered if it could really be done. Years later I was fortunate enough to be part of the team that saw the first customer successfully receive a prescription through our platform. Behind much of the success of Opternative is Ayo. Ayo was responsible for discovering breakthroughs in how to diagnose the eye through a web browser while also managing all aspects of product delivery (roadmaps, user stories, design, engineering, recruiting). Ayo has an insatiable curiosity and intense work ethic (first one in and last one out). I thought I knew devotion and hard work, but Ayo set a new bar. As a manager, Ayo is humble, efficient, and always open to ideas from others. At Opternative I was able to work on unique design and UX challenges, and I'm grateful that I got to do so shoulder-to-shoulder with Ayo. I can't speak highly enough of Ayo and look forward to an opportunity to work with him again in the future. If you have the opportunity to meet Ayo, ask him to explain optometric technology. And then hire him, if you can. ”
