You’re feeling stuck in your current career. What’s the best way to switch paths?
Make two lists. List one: write down the things you love doing and the things you hate. List two: write down what you're naturally good at. Find a way to marry what you're good at with what you like doing. Pick your next path based on this! Good luck.

You have an important interview coming up. How can you make sure you’re prepared?
The best question I ever got asked in an interview was "Is there anything standing in the way of you hiring me?" It's polite, you get immediate feedback and you have an opportunity to prove yourself. Plus, you win their respect instantly! Someone asked me this three years ago and I hired her on the spot. Good luck with your interview!

You’re feeling unfulfilled in your career. How can you find a sense of purpose?
I head to a quiet spot in the library with my yellow pad in hand, and I draw a thick line down the middle. On one side, I write down all the things I've loved most in every job I've ever had. Things I'm good at, projects that make me feel fulfilled and let me be creative. On the other side, I list everything I've hated the most. Too much time spent on numbers, not enough collaboration. With my list in hand, I come up with ways I can do more of what I like and less of what I don't. If you're searching for more meaning in your career, try this exercise out. Take your list of things you love and think about what jobs would allow you to do more of it. You might surprise yourself and discover a whole new path you never knew you were meant for!

The inspiring true story of Shark Tank star Barbara Corcoran--and her best advice for anyone starting a business. After failing at twenty-two jobs, Barbara Corcoran borrowed $1,000 from a boyfriend, quit her job as a diner waitress, and started a tiny real estate office in New York City. Using the unconventional lessons she learned from her homemaker mom, she gradually built it into a $6 billion dollar business. Now Barbara's even more famous for the no-nonsense wisdom she offers to entrepreneurs on Shark Tank, ABC's hit reality TV show.
Shark Tales is down-to-earth, frank, and as heartwarming as it is smart. After reading it don't be surprised if you find yourself thinking, "If she can do it, so can I." Nothing would make Barbara happier.Other authors
