Barri Rafferty

After getting involved leading the fundraising committee, I was elected to join the board this year of this global organization for women business leaders. The organization's purpose is to advance women's leadership in business and support each other as peers.

Where causes and creativity converge. As a non-profit the goal is to bring together the most creative minds in advertising, media and tech to address the most worthy causes of the moment. The last two years a key focus had been on vaccination awareness and understanding.

Barri has served many roles on this board including two years as the Chairperson of the national board of this non-profit after-school program designed to help high school girls from under-resourced communities become confident, college-bound, and career focused. She was honored by the organization in 2018 for her leadership in mentoring. Advisor to help create curriculum for a masters in branding and integrated communications degree and keep it up to date. It addresses the need for an cross-disciplinary degree helping students to create and manage brand identity at a time when global, digital, and more immersive - even tactile - communications are rapidly evolving. Guest lecturer for annual BIC Master's Speaker’s Series.

Founding global board member of this organization created within Omnicom to enhance the number of female leaders and creatives throughout the organization. There are now chapters in 14 countries and Barri has served as a speaker and panel moderator hosting programs on topics from developing negotiation skills to networking and enhancing confidence.
