What are the key differences between logical and creative thinking processes?
The problem with “This” or “That” comparison in anything including thought processes is that it becomes a way to discredit or create bias against another group. The way we think, problem solve or create is not or wrong, it is individualized. Every person is different and relevant. When we work together, we bring different perspectives and ideas which studies show creates the best teams and successes.

You’re struggling to connect with your colleagues. How can you build a better relationship?
Business and relationships are built on Know, Like, Trust factors. Part of getting to know a person is caring about who they are, what they feel is important and how we can be of assistance. Open ended questions can lead others to talk and being a patient listener allows us to learn more about them. One of my favorite things to do when building relationships in a place of work is bringing in various sweets to share monthly and leaving little cards or stickers with inspirational/kindness quotes.

Why should you create a career path plan early in your career?
Think of a career plan as a guide map to the goals you want to reach. It is not set in stone, so as you grow personally and professionally, you have the ability to pivot as new opportunities present themselves. Just like a map, the career plan allows for different routes to reach your destination. I personally have used a career plan in conjunction with goal setting and vision boards. As each success is reached (title or salary), I set new career objectives to work towards.

I have organized donations of shoes, jackets, back packs and school supplies for low income children at San Salvador Preschool in Colton, CA and Walter Zimmerman Elementary school in Bloomington, CA. Over the last 10 years more than 1400 items have been delivered to local children for the winter holidays and back to school drive.
