“I had the pleasure of having Ben as the team lead for most of the last 3 years at Acima, and having such a peer in the organization is priceless. What I liked the most is that he always had a bigger picture of the whole system in mind, which when mixed with his technical mastery and subject matter expertise resulted in very clear tech requirements being defined, which makes working on his team a true pleasure. Besides that Ben as a software engineer can perfectly balance quality, development time, and scalability, which I think is crucial for business. He's always aware of what's truly important and what is not in a particular solution and he can adapt as needed. Some solutions are time-sensitive, some need to be just perfect and some others may even not require any coding at all if you think for a while and just creatively reuse the existing tools. And in my opinion, the ability to recognize those and quickly adapt accordingly is what makes great developers stand out from the crowd. Finally, he's just a humble and nice guy who's always willing to help if you just ask :)”
