What do you do if a candidate needs feedback without feeling discouraged?
I have to do this daily. I believe giving the candidate feedback will not discourage them they want to hear the good or the bad. They can ask me questions and I am happy to answer them. I have been told many times at least I didn't just send them a generic message that was auto generated from the ATS system or not reach out to them at all. I try to encourage the candidate to continue to watch our external postings. I always thank them for their interest. I want them to know how much I respect them.
