“I’ve had the privilege of working on projects with Blake since his freshman year of college. I’ve witnessed his tremendous growth as a software developer and don’t foresee that growth slowing down anytime soon. Blake is proactive, result oriented, responsible and a technically sound developer that is always ready to tackle the next challenge that needs solving. Blake has demonstrated his ability to both be an excellent team player as well as competent leader when needed through his time as a Vice President in the TXST Computer Science Club (EXE) where he helped me grow the club from a small fledgling group to over 50 active members. Blake is a person I turn to for advice on new technologies, as he always seems to be on top of what is the latest and greatest in the industry. He is able to thoroughly focus on every project and is not easily distracted. He comprehends instructions quickly and is flexible when changes have to be made to the original plan. I am confident that he can meet any challenge placed before him and I believe he would be an excellent addition to any team. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or want to discuss Blake’s qualifications further. I can be reached through LinkedIn messages, at 210-275-0012, or via email at [email protected]. ”

Open API Spec NPM Client Generation for .NET Core Backend using RTK Query
-
Integrated TypeScript / JavaScript NPM RTK Query client generated from Open API Spec of .NET Core Server using Swashbuckle.AspNetCore.Swagger into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline. This allows React.js JavaScript clients to use generated request and response structures based on the latest changes to the .NET backend. Using RTK Query allowed duplicate request payloads to be retrieved from a configured local storage web browser cache and enabled retrying failed requests.
-
Node.js AWS Deployment / Management API
-
Implemented Node.js backend RESTful API hosted on AWS Lambda, which could be used in GitHub Actions pipeline or on-demand to seamlessly deploy other hosted applications to AWS Lambda and AWS S3. Packages were uploaded to AWS in a shadowed state, and could be enabled once CI/CD passed unit test suite.
-
Stencil.js Micro-Frontend
-
Updated existing ASP.NET webpage content to be replaced dynamically based on LaunchDarkly feature flag using Stencil.js and React.js. Once integrated component could be run inside existing webpages and feature enabled for future usage. Packages would get deployed using a GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline and GitFlow, onto AWS S3 Buckets for hosting.

In-Store Inventory Management System (.NET Core / React Native + Android)
-
Implemented android mobile device application using React Native which interfaced with .NET Core Backend system and TSQL database, in each retail store. At the time there were 85 locations, each with 2-3 Zebra scanner Android devices. Application used live updates which interfaced with Desktop application for Online Orders, and allowed location employees to locate, scan, and designate items for in-store pickup. Once Online Orders were fully processed, customers would be alerted via SMS or email.

In-Store POS Image Generation
-
Custom tool for imaging Lenovo Desktop computers with limited Windows environment and pre-installed applications. Using Windows 10 MDT, automatically configured each desktop system with Active Directory permissions, receipt printer configuration, native PORT configuration, custom C# service for interop to COBOL backend.
-
Improve McCoys.com Search Functionality
-
Upgraded search term engine used in McCoys.com .NET Core 3.0 backend. Integrated product data into Redis and Solr databases after being processed by custom product data processor. Search queries would then be able to use Redis for results during live typing in search bar. Or more deeply queried with Solr backend upon POST requests.

City of Austin Sentiment Analysis
-
Using the Django stack, our team in Software Engineering 2015, created an application for the City of Austin which aggregates social media posts onto a Javascript Google Maps fragment and displays the posts stored in the MySQL database as Google Maps Markers and a heatmap to show the sentimental(Positive/ Negative) value of the social media post at the location.

NominatimToGoogleMaps
-
NominatimToGoogleMaps gets data from Notminatim and creates a Google Maps Polygon because this feature is not supported from Google Maps API v3. I made this tool myself in order to create an outline of the city for my City of Austin Sentiment Analysis Project.
