“Blythe applied for a research technician position at ReveraGen BioPharma back in mid-2010. She was selected because she displayed a disciplined and driven work ethic that we were craving. For the 2+ years Blythe was with us, she worked extremely efficiently and incredibly effectively. One of Blythe’s first tasks was to screen a novel anti-inflammatory compound for its ability to inhibit NFkB activity in lung cells. This work was published in PloS One with Blythe as second author. Subsequently, Blythe worked diligently to test this compound in many different animal models of inflammatory diseases. However, most importantly, Blythe demonstrated the ability to work independently and formulate her own hypotheses. Thus, it became clear that she was destined to start on a path that would lead to her becoming an independent investigator. Now at the Scripps Research Institute as a graduate student, Blythe is enthusiastically committed to the field of neuroscience. I have no doubt whatsoever that Blythe will succeed at any endeavor she decides to embark on.”
