What do you do if networking feels overwhelming as an introverted professional?
First, remember that "Networking" -- when approached correctly -- is never about you and your business. It's focusing on learning about the other person, and THEIR business. So take the pressure off of yourself. When you meet someone, ask them questions such as, "How did you get started in the ____ business?" "What do you enjoy most about your work?" And, what I call the One *Key* Question, "How can I know if someone I'm speaking with is a good potential client for you?" Introverts are actually much better at this than are extroverts. Focusing on others is natural to them. So relax, enjoy, and make some terrific new connections by simply being interested in learning about them.
