Your non-profit project is struggling. What can you do to get it back on track?
First, find out the reason it is struggling. Talk to those working on the project with you. They will likely have insight into why the project is struggling that you haven't considered. Once you have determined the reason(s) the project is struggling, begin to solve for the problems. Is it capacity of team members? If so, help them prioritize what is on their plate and remove roadblocks. If it is a system or process problem, work to streamline and improve the process/system if possible. You may also discover that you need to recalibrate on the desired outcomes for the project and if so, that isn’t always a failure. The best nonprofits are innovative, adaptable and quick to admit they don't always have all the answers.
