Excellence in Technology and Operations Award
The Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) recently presented the Excellence in Technology and Operations Award. This is the second year for the award, which is sponsored by Plante Moran, and it recognizes banks that leverage their technology and operations in unique ways to benefit their customers and/or their financial institutions. The winner was selected by members of the IBA’s Technology and Operations Committee, and committee chairman Patti Hartmann, First National Bank of McHenry, presented the award during The ONE Conference in East Peoria on March 2.
The bank was challenged to connect its bank and bankers seamlessly to its customers. The bank has provided a solution that allows its customers to connect when they visit the branch and also allows its employees to be connected when they travel branch to branch or visit customers at their places of business. The bank also has taken it to the next level by “cutting the cord” and becoming much more mobile, greatly increasing its operational efficiency.
The Illinois Bankers Association is a full-service trade association dedicated to creating a positive business climate that benefits the entire banking industry and the communities they serve. Founded in 1891, the IBA brings together state and national banks and savings banks of all sizes in Illinois.
