I had the honor of helping to construct a community center for health care professionals to work out of while providing services for the locals in Timo. This remote area of the country is both loving and heart breaking. Situated in the mountains about a 35 minute walk in, this remote mountain village is miles from any dental or health care. This remote area of the country is both loving and heart breaking. Situated in the mountains about a 35 minute walk in, this remote mountain village is miles from any dental or health care. We worked alongside locals to finish the community center including solar power, a septic system, water system, rain collection etc. Locals stand in line for days to get care when the health care team arrives. I was honored to get to help and fell in love with children and those that worked so hard... an amazing experience.
