However, these tools can't optimize email programs to meet business objectives. The outcomes of testing and recommendations from various tools needs to be assessed in context of the purpose of the email program and how effectively it's meeting the objective.

Effective testing goes beyond siloed a/b tests and instead leverage an ongoing testing strategy. The various hypothesis need to be defined (and specific enough to be meaningful) and then sufficiently tested with multiple communications to validate the results. Once tested, the outcomes need to be documented and applied where it makes sense. Regarding technology, Motiva AI is an amazing tool to take testing to a new level.
