Founding a business, there is always a fire to put out. You will be worried about money, until you're not. It is a marathon, not a sprint. Realize failure can come, be at peace with that, work on what is important, keep sight of your true end game, and take care of yourself. Using alcohol to destress, staying up worrying, or not maintaining personal relationships will not help you get to end game. In fact, it will delay it.

Not having enough sleep is like going to work intoxicated, your limited in function when you need to be 100% function. Track your sleep quality and be serious about getting sleep. It may be tempting to work extra hours in the nights, but all that will do is hurt output during the day tomorrow. Fuel your body right with nutrients and hydration and turn off thinking about work at night. Believe that your success only comes with your body succeeding in health.

Entrepreneurship takes away safety nets and backups. Having a bad day in someone else company may not impact you, but slipping up on the wrong day in entrepreneurship can be a mortal wound. In all the stress of ensuring every piece is moving together, it can be overwhelming. Building self-awareness and self-regulation are critical, to ensure you do not let outward signs of stress hurt employee or customer buy in to your vision.

Even professionals that look unflappable and infinitely resilient have at one point had to build the skills and strategies to get to that point. On tough days, it is likely they have to tap into those strategies to stay resilient with the outside world never seeing that. So, you are not alone in the perpetual journey to deep resilience. Enjoy the work, enjoy the benefits, and enjoy the constant maintenance.

Focus on building self awareness, regulation, care, and actualization. You are the only one that can do this, as nobody else will be able to do it for you. Although mentors, coaches, and friends can be assistants on your journey. Keep a healthy body with sleep, nutrition, and activity. This makes any challenge in your life easier to tackle automatically, but not guaranteed. Understanding your emotional and mental profiles, then building ways to ensure you operate in an environment that builds your energy and momentum instead of draining it.

Purpose and perspective. Always ground yourself in the unique yourself. Build up a deep understanding of what you want to achieve, what strengths you bring, and how you want to get there. Keeping focused on first principles and vector of your career will inform you after setbacks and challenges on how to keep moving forward. The only end of the world is the end of the world. There will always be new tomorrows, opportunities, markets, and partners waiting for the resilient ones to come lead them.
