As well, AMEC also provided development, engineering, procurement and construction for a 15 megawatt photovoltaic solar plant that was built in Bagdad, Arizona.

    The Reid Gardner generating station is a coal-fueled, steam-electric generating plant with four operating units. AMEC was awarded the EPC contract to replace the existing mechanical separators and positive pressure fly ash conveying systems on three coal fired generating units (units one, two and three). Each nominally rated at 120 MW, with three new pulse-jet baghouses and vacuum fly-ash conveying systems.

The project scope included installation of a lime processing system, ball mills, flue gas dampers and bypass system with 8 – 1,000 booster fans, over 5,300 tons of process ductwork, two new jet bubbling reactors (JBR) with supporting electrical and control systems.
