“Chas is BY FAR, one of the sharpest young men I've worked with in 15 years in the telecom field. He is a wealth of money and time saving initiatives and would be an asset on any team. His ability to take data from all aspects of a project and combine it into efficient and user friendly data base is astonishing.”

St. Andrew United Methodist Church - Spark Tank

Spark Tank is a summer program at St. Andrew United Methodist Church that uses matching funds to encourage church members to go out and do something unexpected that shows that they love their neighbor! It may be something as big as helping to renovate an older home or paying to have someone’s air-conditioning repaired….but it may be something as simple as buying a gift card for your grocery store cashier or paying off someone's layaway bill.

It may be something as big as helping to renovate an older home or paying to have someone’s air-conditioning repaired….but it may be something as simple as buying a gift card for your grocery store cashier or paying off someone's layaway bill.
In 2016, Spark Tank match funded over 70 projects (for a total of just over $160,000) which ranged from giving a waitress an extra gift card and an encouraging note, to paying for a strangers’ grocery bill, to paying some of the medical bills for the person in the next hospital bed. Big or small projects….the only thing that mattered was that church members were putting their faith into action by serving someone outside of our church walls.
It is often the smallest actions that will have the biggest impact on our community, and when put in God’s hands, can do “immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine”. The goal is to be a reminder to those around us of what being a Christ follower looks like in everyday life. What random act of kindness can you imagine? -

Kindling Ministry
What does a spark need to catch fire?
It’s not the big log in the middle. It’s the small sticks at the base of the pile. They’re called kindling.
Three years ago, we launched the Spark Tank community service initiative, and we did some incredible work! But as the years went by, the projects got larger in scope, yet fewer in total.

💡There comes a time where it is no longer advantageous to be with a PEO.
