Simply put, 4xe is the new 4x4.
The first of the brand’s fully electric vehicles — the trail-ready, Wrangler-inspired Recon and the posh, stylish Wagoneer S — will reach North American dealerships in 2024, with two more nameplates slated by 2025.
By 2030, Jeep projects that half of its U.S. sales and all of its European sales will be made up of battery electric models. To get there, it’s building a toolbox of electrified options melding off-road prowess with eco-friendly 4xe powertrains.
“I think we found a formula to make Jeep even more exciting while respecting the planet,” Meunier, 55, told Automotive News in September. “The marriage of 4x4 with electric — I think we nailed it.”
In the meantime, Jeep is selling as many gasoline-powered SUVs as it can build — at higher and higher prices every month. For dealers, a Jeep franchise is effectively a license to print money.
Meunier’s vision and execution have helped persuade nearly 40 percent of the brand’s dealers to commit to investing millions of dollars to build specialized Jeep showrooms within their dealerships, or even stand alone Jeep stores. Some already have opened, but hundreds more are in various stages of planning. »

« 13. Christian Meunier | Global CEO of the Jeep Brand, Stellantis
    2021 Rank: Unranked
It was a big year for Jeep, with expansions into key and lucrative segments. The Jeep Grand Cherokee added a three-row L version and the traditional two-row model will add a plug-in hybrid in 2022, building on the success of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The long-awaited Jeep Wagoneer full-size SUV and top-end Jeep Grand Wagoneer have arrived, and Jeep's first pure EV is coming in 2023. »

"Christian Meunier spent most of this year pursuing an aggressive agenda — no less than rewiring Nissan Division's U.S. marketing structure. As senior vice president for U.S. sales and marketing and operations, Meunier challenged the brand to think bolder and be more flexible.
His task centered on pushing decision-making to Nissan's sales regions about what, when and how much to advertise. He took a more granular view of its U.S. markets, allowing Dallas to behave differently from Atlanta, and liberating Phoenix to pursue different goals from Denver. He even opened the door for one part of Los Angeles to operate differently from another part of the city.
Nissan has increased its field staff and provided them with training to better use market information and inventory plans, while corporate staffers have been learning how to better support the regions with sales forecasts and planning tools. Meunier also has pressed the brand to shout out its messages more clearly, seeking advertising that hammers Nissan's strongest selling points and brand identity.
Meunier, 50, a Frenchman whose career has included stints with Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover, recently moved on from the Nissan brand to a new position with the automaker, as Infiniti's vice president in charge of global sales and marketing."

Received in July 1015 The Global Nissan President Award 2014 - recognizing outstanding executive contribution to the business performance. Award given to a single executive judged by the Executive committee of Nissan Motor Company and offered by Carlos Ghosn CEO.
“Meunier was responsible for propelling NCI to top tier status. Under Meunier’s guidance, NCI exceeded 100,000 unit sales in one year for the first time in its history and increased retail sales by an astounding 48 percent from fiscal year 2012 (FY2012) to 2014 (FY2014). In the same two-year time frame, the Infiniti brand grew by 19 percent, exceeding 10,000 unit sales for the first time in Canada. All this made NCI the fastest growing brand in Canada since mid-2013.
Meunier laid the foundation for his team by completely reorganizing NCI, injecting it with a new leadership culture that stressed cross functionality, while remaining nimble with a strong focus on governance and results. He implemented a plan to strengthen Nissan’s Canadian dealer network and improved distribution at the regional level.”
