With the help of the other Programming Co-Chairs, we provided networking opportunities to the local advertising and creative community, as well as opportunities for professional and personal growth.

As the Membership Committee Co-Chair, I worked to increase our membership numbers from year-to-year and communicate the value of our club to current members. By setting goals and exploring new tactics, my co-chair and I successfully brought awareness to local professionals and students about all that AAFCM has to offer. Some of these tactics included targeted marketing, social media outreach, e-mail marketing, personal messages through platforms like LinkedIn, presentations, and classroom discussions. With a background in graphic design, I was also able to help revamp the homepage and membership sub-pages on the AAFCM website to drive visitors to learn more about membership.

As a result from these innovative outreach methods, AAFCM has won awards in the Membership category of Club Achievements over the past two years. These awards are recognized on a national platform with the American Advertising Federation, and have aiding in our club winning Club of the Year for the 2015-16 year in one of the most competitive divisions in the nation.

As a community dancer, I chose the Central Minnesota Child Advocacy Center as my funds recipient. This incredible organization provides critical services for children who have experience emotional, physical, mental, and sexual abuse. The campaign resulted in:
    - $38,480 raised for the MNCAC
    - 70% increase in MNCAC website visits
    - 20% increase in social media page follows for the MNCAC
    - Total of 24,200+ brand impressions for the MNCAC

The Minnesota Young American Leaders Program is an intensive, two-and-a-half-day program at the University of Minnesota convening approximately fifty rising leaders from across business, non-profit organizations and government who are committed to working across sectors to help their communities and our region prosper inclusively.

The Harvard Business School-based curriculum was brought to Minnesota through the Itasca Project, Greater MSP, and the University of Minnesota. The program covered a wide spectrum of content, primarily focused on economic development in regions across Minnesota. The goal of the program was to inspire attendees to return to their communities and implement projects to promote prosperity through cross-collaboration.

The St. Cloud cohort included ten leaders. We came back together, under the guidance of the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation, to implement a project focused on connecting employers looking to fill middle-skill career positions with qualified candidates from underserved communities. The project is ongoing.
