Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey (CPNJ) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and other special needs by supporting personal growth, independence and participation in the community.
As Chair I led the Board of Trustees in governing CPNJ’s resources, staff, schools, training centers, and group homes to deliver the highest quality services to individuals with disabilities. As Chair I led the Board of Trustees in governing CPNJ’s resources, staff, schools, training centers, and group homes to deliver the highest quality services to individuals with disabilities. Partnered with past and interim CEO in organizational leadership, strategic planning, fundraising development, and financial oversight.
• Took on full-time role of managing the transition plan after CEO’s resignation to ensure continued operational productivity, hands-on support to the interim CEO, and leadership committee buy-in.
• Advised and directed interim CEO in daily operations and critical finance and human resource decisions.
• Engaged staff to foster open communication, collaboration, and confidence after leadership resignations.
• Led CFO and interim CEO in creating a 5 month plan to improve residential program’s financial status.
• Participated in selection process and interviews for new VP of Human Resources during the transition.
• Led fundraising efforts including a successful Gala, largest ever Football Event, and new Golf Outing.
• Oversaw committee meetings, board member recruitment, and CEO performance evaluation.
• Facilitated timely communication with key stakeholders, board members, staff, and families.
