“I’ve had the privilege to work with Colby on multiple initiatives since his time at Mark43, including launching a new mobile product and platform-wide initiatives. As a Senior Product Manager, Colby is able to juggle many simultaneous initiatives of high complexity, navigate ambiguity, align and provide clarity to teammates, continuously learn and improve his craft, and work strategically with leadership and other stakeholders. Colby has been a key cross-functional stakeholder to design, partnering closely to solve complex problems. His no-ego approach makes sure that all ideas have a seat at the table. He values research and the expertise that his design counterparts bring and is sure to shout out and uplift his teammates for the work that they contribute. Notably, Colby was a key contributor to the successful launch of our new Android and iOS mobile products. This included working with marketing to announce the new product, supporting sales to understand and speak to the product’s capabilities, facilitating trainings, demos, and customer launches, as well as working closely with our initial launch customers to give them a white-glove experience. Through these successful launches with customers, Colby has been able to impact customer NPS and shape our customer relationships for the better. Colby has an incredible impact on any initiative he works on and would be a valuable member of any organization. He has become an incredible cross-functional partner and I would work with him again in a heartbeat.”

A major event is detected in a geographic area based on one or more of: signal volume, signal diversity, severity, content, or historical events associated with ingested digital signals corresponding to the geographic area. An event-specific filter is deployed. The region associated with the major event is locked to the geographic area. Filtering out a commentary signal purportedly related to the major event is filtered out in accordance with rejection criteria. Filtering out the commentary signal can include determining the commentary signal originated outside the geographic area. It is determined that the major event has ended. The event-specific filter is disabled.

The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for signal normalization, event detection, and event notification using agency codes. Ingestion modules can ingest different types of raw structured and/or raw unstructured signals on an ongoing basis and possibly including agency codes. The signal ingestion modules normalize raw signals into normalized signals having a Time, Location, Context (or “TLC”) dimensions. An event detection infrastructure determines that characteristics of multiple signals, possibly including agency codes, when considered in combination, indicate an event of interest to one or more parties. Agency codes associated with events can be translated between agency code languages and/or between different agencies/jurisdictions.
