Thanks to all who joined myself and conference Chair Paolo Bonato at the IEEE EMBC 2011 meeting this year in Boston. It was the most successful meeting in the history of the IEEE EMBS, breaking all previous records for papers submitted and meeting attendance! I look forward to seeing you all at next year's meeting in San Diego.

I was a judge for all stages of the competition and mentored several companies that were finalists.

I re-activated the IEEE EMBS Boston chapter and held monthly meetings at MIT. Attendance was typically averaged +40 per meeting and with some speakers we had a full auditorium.
