“I have have had the privilege of receiving mentorship guidance from Ben for the past four years in addition to having worked for him during his tenure at Apple as the Director of Americas Logistics. I can two things about Ben with utmost certainty. Firstly, I know that I would not be where I am today without his guidance. Secondly, I have never encountered a professional or friend with nearly as much passion for exemplifying what a true leader should embody. All those he leads follow him with a sense of confidence that his motives and business plan will prove true and fruitful. ”

What do you do if you want to transform your experience into effective leadership?
Some practical ways to reflect on your experience include: - Reviewing past 360 feedback to understand strengths and development areas from direct reports, peers, bosses and cross functional partners - Spot any trends over the years to understand how you’ve evolved your leadership strengths - Work with an accredited executive coach (I can help you) to define your leadership vision and “super powers” - Leverage Lean PDCA to continually improve as a leader - Read ‘True North’ and work through the accompanying workbook by Bill George. Highly recommend this book and workbook. All of this takes humility, a desire to grow and evolve and self awareness. By following the framework above, you will be well on your way to evolving as a leader.

What are the best ways to stay motivated and focused on your career goals?
One of the biggest unlocks for achieving greatness that consistently shows up with highly successful people is a concept I call ‘Win the Morning, Win the Day’. I’ve studied the similarities of hundreds of millionaires - billionaires and one thing they all have in common is a consistent early morning daily routine: 1. Wake up at the same time daily and immediately make your bed. 2. Brush your teeth and then recite several empowering affirmations. 3. Combination of working out, meditation, prayer, journaling, and reading for at least 60 minutes. 4. Eating a healthy breakfast with at least 16 ounces of water. By winning the morning with a healthy routine you automatically set yourself up for success. Win the morning, win the day.
