Coordinate with and obtain input from the pre-commissioning crew in order to generate additional spares lists and initial outfitting lists and assist in determining priorities when finalizing buy lists.

Maintains master lists of desired outfitting materials, vendor recommended spares, and required spares, as well as keeping track of finalized buy lists.

Reviews shipyards buy lists to validate item selections, validate prices, and make adjustments as necessary to stay within budget.

Reconciles shipyard charges against approved buy lists.

Tracks and conduct inventories for all spares and initial outfitting material, assist with government oversight of loadout and take a proactive stance to identify/resolve issues as they surface.

Review and comment on various shipyard submissions against the contract requirements.

Assist in management of technical manual reviews, including review assignments and tracking due dates.

Assist with the coordination, scheduling, delivery, and oversight of crew familiarization/training by the shipyard and with the general orientation/transition of logistic responsibilities to the incoming crew members.

Assist with any shipyard-provided requirements for preventative maintenance as well as incorporation of that information into the NOAA maintenance systems (SAMMS).

• Generates monthly status reports and consults with clients and customers by hosting meetings to analyze and understand functional data requirements according to each contract.
• Ensures status accounting and the audit of the functional and physical configuration of all programs by performing both desktop and onboard shipboard validations as required by contract.
• Interfaces directly with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to obtain vendor furnished information and prepares and produces provisioning technical documentation and logistics support documentation in accordance with corporate, military, and commercial specifications and standards.
• Compiles and enters provisioning technical data that is collected into the U.S. Navy Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) or other Logistics Management Systems.
• Coordinates the development, editing, composition, production, and delivery of assigned provisioning technical documentation packages in accordance with applicable specifications/standards.
• Ensures that the customer is provided with correct configuration information necessary to operate and maintain their vessel or system by studying equipment manuals for a thorough understanding of equipment functionality.
