I have been raising money on behalf of the MS Society since the year 2000, by participating in the annual BP MS150 bike ride from Houston to Austin (it's actually 183 miles, and your legs and backside feel every mile!). I have raised over $250,000 during this time frame, and continue to remain actively involved in the program.

I believe that the MS Society makes a huge difference in the lives of those with MS, and I know that 83% of every dollar I raise goes toward funding research… Show more

I am an Advisory Board member of the IU Geology Department and have been volunteering my time to assist the department to raise funding for the improvement of the IU Geological Field Station in Montana.

The field station hosts nearly 100 students each summer as they experience the realities of mapping physical geology in the field, which provides the students with very unique and critical skill sets in problem solving and the recognition of both time and spatial geological scale.

Each summer I join Memorial Drive United Methodist Church (MDUMC) along with a group of 150+ high school and college youth and 35-40 adult volunteers as we spend a week in rural communities in Texas rebuilding churches, community centers, and clothing distribution centers.
