    The purpose of the Floodplain Mitigation Plan Advisory Committee (the "Committee") is to promote the public health, safety and welfare of Town residents while minimizing the Town's vulnerability to flooding and protecting the natural and beneficial functions of the floodplain which was adopted Resolution No. 13-56 . The Committee assisted the Town in the development of the Flood Mitigation Plan adopted via Resolution No. 15-27 on May 20, 2015 and later revised via Resolution No. 21-77 on…

    The purpose of the Floodplain Mitigation Plan Advisory Committee (the "Committee") is to promote the public health, safety and welfare of Town residents while minimizing the Town's vulnerability to flooding and protecting the natural and beneficial functions of the floodplain which was adopted Resolution No. 13-56 . The Committee assisted the Town in the development of the Flood Mitigation Plan adopted via Resolution No. 15-27 on May 20, 2015 and later revised via Resolution No. 21-77 on November 17, 2021. This Committee continues to meet as needed to monitor the implementation of the Flood Mitigation Plan per Resolution No. 13-56.

    The AHAB is required under Section 420.9076 of the Florida Statutes to review the County’s established policies and procedures, ordinances, land development regulations, and comprehensive plan, and to submit a report to the BCC with recommendations for specific actions or initiatives that will encourage or facilitate affordable housing development (known as ‘local housing incentive strategies”). Thereafter, the AHAB is required to review such strategies and the implementation of those adopted…

    The AHAB is required under Section 420.9076 of the Florida Statutes to review the County’s established policies and procedures, ordinances, land development regulations, and comprehensive plan, and to submit a report to the BCC with recommendations for specific actions or initiatives that will encourage or facilitate affordable housing development (known as ‘local housing incentive strategies”). Thereafter, the AHAB is required to review such strategies and the implementation of those adopted recommendations on a triennial basis. Additionally, the AHAB has an ongoing role in reviewing local policies, ordinances, regulations, and plan provisions prior to adoption and identifying new incentive strategies.

    The Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) serves as a permanent, renewable, source of revenue to meet, in part, the housing needs of the residents of Miami-Dade County. The objective of the AHTF is to foster a housing supply accessible to a range of family incomes in developments assisted by the Trust Fund and to disperse affordable housing units throughout the County, in accordance with objectives, goals, and policies set within the housing elements of the Community Development Master Plan.
