    I was selected as an international delegate to Coimbra, Portugal. While there, I attended classes at Coimbra's Escola Secundária, tours of the prominent University of Coimbra (established in 1290), and meetings and events where I represented my beloved hometown of Santa Clara, CA. We also met with various members of the community including local and national government representatives/officials, had a variety of cultural experiences, and built what became 20+ year friendships with our host families and networks built during this special time.

    The WOPFG is a nonprofit organization that helps support Washington Open Elementary School. As a part of the WOPFG Auction Board, I assist in the fundraising, planning, and execution of our Annual Fundraising Auction. Through this event, we raise funds that are used for our extensive field trip program, parent education, staff development, instructional materials, fine arts, and classroom supplies.
