As an immigrant and minority woman business owner, I care deeply in mentoring young aspiring accountants in underserved groups - that was the group I initially wrote the book for. This meaningful passion project gradually evolved and expanded to include 20 extraordinary mentors from different accounting disciplines sharing our individual career journey in our own words.

The purpose of this book is to offer readers, ranging from high school students to young professionals, valuable insights and perspectives into the many career paths and opportunities available within the accounting profession. My vision is to help young accounting professionals to build confidence and competence, so they can be more strategic, intentional and prepared in advancing their career in order to live more fulfilling lives with meaningful impact.

Although initially written for the college students and young professionals that I mentor, the book is a valuable resource, not only for those with an interest in accounting, but also for anyone who is contemplating their next career move.
