In my opinion, the best approach a team member can do at any organization is take control of their career! This is best done by first setting a vision for your life serving as a North Star for annual goals including career goals! Some important things to understand; - your goals will change as your vision for your life gets clearer and clearer - it’s more about learning what you don’t want to do in the beginning and the refining how you want to do what you decide you want to do towards the middle/end - you will be wrong sometimes, forgive yourself, learn, and pivot your decisions By having a clear vision, you can set goals, and you can pick an organization that needs what you have to give and aligns with your vision.

In the dynamic world of youth sports, effective communication is a superpower 🌟 Whether we're coordinating with clients, collaborating with vendors, or brainstorming with our amazing team, clarity, respect, assuming positive intent, and radical candor are our guiding principles. We steer clear of confusing jargon. This approach not only ensures everyone is on the same page but also fosters a sense of trust and rapport, which is priceless. Active listening, asking insightful questions, and providing constructive feedback are integral parts of our communication strategy. My favorite way to network is through what I call the just-in-time learning methodology. Whenever an innovation comes to market, you have your early adopters. These are the folks who are first in line to get or learn the latest new [insert technology]. Take AI as an ex; when generative AI came to market, I played around with it, watched some videos, and then came up with a theory for how we could apply it to our business. After that, I gave it a few weeks, followed #generativeAI, and found some content creators that seemed to fit that "early adopter" framework. Reached out and soon enough, I met 3 world-class early adopters of the technology who helped me advance my concept! Practical networking! People helping people.
