    Classified 25,000 movie reviews as positive or negative with an Area Under the ROC curve score of .96, placing us in the top 10% of the kaggle leaderboard. Used Bag of Words and Word2Vec models for feature engineering, and logistic regression and random forest in sklearn for machine learning.

  • Forecasting the 2015 Fantasy Baseball season

    I use BeautifulSoup to scrape data from baseball-reference.com and then store in a mySQL database. I then use a linear regression in Python to project player statistics and compute their overall fantasy value for the 2015 season.

  • Predicting the 2015 NCAA Tournament

    -

    Created a machine learning model that predicts the win percentage of every possible matchup in the NCAA Tournament, and uses simulation to predict the probability each team has of advancing to each round. I use mySQL, Python and Pandas to preprocess data from kaggle.com and kenpom.com, BeautifulSoup to scrape data and sklearn to perform my bagged logistic regression model.
