    Our Teaching Artists create a dynamic environment in the classroom by introducing singing, dancing or painting into the study of science, math, literacy and more. The projects are fun, factual & memorable. The results are amazing!

  • Altering the Standard of Review for Patent Claim Construction

    Daily Business Review

    In Teva Pharmaceuticals v.Sandroz the Supreme Court altered the standard of review of patent claim construction in infringement cases. However, the decision left a few 'outs' for the Federal Circuit. This article is my analysis of that decision. I am involved in one of the companion cases that was grated certiorari with Teva, Shire v. Watson.

  • Helping Clients File and Defend Trademark Registrations

    Recent Trends in Trademark Protection: Leading Lawyers on Educating Clients, Understanding the Impact of Technology, and Navigating the Current Marketplace

    I authored a chapter for the Thomson Reuters annual publication on recent trends in trademark protection. The focus of my chapter was tips and strategies for assisting clients in the creation, protection, and enforcement of their trademark and brand rights.

    ABA Section of Litigation

    I co-authored an article for the ABA Section of Litigation, Class Actions & Derivative Suits subsection. The focus of the article was the handling of expert witnesses and how to effectively prepare an expert for deposition and how to effectively take an expert deposition.

    I am on the board of directors of the Palm Beach County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division. We represent the interests of the young lawyers in Palm Beach County to the greater bar association. I am presently the co-chair of two groups: the Foster Children Holiday Party and the Golf Tournament. The Foster Children Holiday Party hosts a holiday party for the children of foster parents every year. We partner with a local hotel that is gracious enough to donate its space to host the…

    I am on the board of directors of the Palm Beach County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division. We represent the interests of the young lawyers in Palm Beach County to the greater bar association. I am presently the co-chair of two groups: the Foster Children Holiday Party and the Golf Tournament. The Foster Children Holiday Party hosts a holiday party for the children of foster parents every year. We partner with a local hotel that is gracious enough to donate its space to host the event. We partner with the Bar Association's annual holiday party to host a silent auction of items donated for that purpose at the annual holiday party. We then take the funds generated by the silent auction and use those to purchase holiday presents for the foster children that attend our event. The Golf Tournament is a new event to be held in 2016. With my co-chair, we have been charged with creating an annual golf tournament to raise funds for the bar association.

    The Fourth DCA Anniversary Committtee, Inc. is a non-profit corporation celebrating the anniversary and history of the Fourth District Court of Appeal in Florida. The Fourth DCA covers the Fifteenth, Seventeenth, and Nineteenth Judicial Circuits, including Broward, Indian River, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties.
