When US-headquartered cloud security platform Lacework decided last year to expand its global footprint into the Asia-Pacific region, one of the first people it hired was Danielle Dungo.

Senior Manager for Strategy and Sales Operations in APAC, Ms Dungo hails from California and brings a wealth of Silicon Valley knowledge and experience to her new role. As a Global Talent visa recipient, she now calls Sydney home and couldn’t be happier with her career and lifestyle change.

“This place is amazing – it has everything that we’re looking for from the lifestyle perspective. Career wise, I’m very happy that I made the move … I’ve significantly grown my career and my experience,” she says.

Lacework’s expansion into the region signals the strong growth and opportunities on offer in Australia for international digital technology companies. “It’s the first country that people typically enter when they’re trying to expand into international markets,” says Ms Dungo.

As well as helping to pave the way for Lacework’s expansion, she is also blazing a trail for women in the digitech sector and believes it’s important for the industry to recruit more women from diverse backgrounds.

“What I’ve come across in working with people is that diverse ideas get you to innovation faster,” she says. “I studied sociology and legal studies at the University of California, but I knew I’d like to get into tech as everything is moving digital.”

Danielle Dungo is just one of many highly talented individuals from overseas who are now part of the fast-growing digitech community in Australia. Are you also looking for similar opportunities? Or are you a bold startup like Lacework that is searching for an ideal testbed for new technologies, innovations and expansion?

If the answer is ‘yes’, then let’s talk. Visit https://lnkd.in/grXQ2Yhy to find out more.
