    My chosen department was Human Performance in Space, including space medicine, space science and human behaviour.

    The program includes core lectures, workshops, department activities and a final group project on Atonomous Mission on On Orbit Servicing.

    Being part of a team from CranSEDS, working on the Mars Flyby project. The assignment included designing a spacecraft to join a 501 days mission to Mars, including the launch, guidance & control, space experiments and re-entry.
    Working together on such a big project with people from all over the world, not only taught me a lot about space engineering, but also gave me more experience in teamwork.
    Competing against 37 other worldwide universities, we became semi-finalists. Our report was…

    In the beginning of 2012 the youth department of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Association (Koninklijke Vereniging Onze Luchtmacht) began to shape the Air Corps NL association. The ACNL is a new concept in the Netherlands and aims to gather the Dutch Aeronautical students in events for networking.

    Successful events were held amongst others on the Military Academy in Breda, The Historical Flight (Gilze Rijen) & The Military Museum at Woensdrecht. It was an honour to have Andre Kuipers…
