How can you ensure your business coach is aligned with your goals?
It’s ok if you don’t already have clear goals and expectations. A coach can help you create goals that are aligned with you and your beliefs. A coach can hold space for you while you figure this out. A coach can even help you figure out what your values and core beliefs are! And then help you apply the same values and ideals to your business. The way you think and show up in one area of your life affects all areas of your life. We all have underlying patterns and beliefs and behaviors. A good coach will help you align with yourself first, and then help you align the rest of your goals around who you are. Because then you can truly achieve what you desire, without becoming stressed, overwhelmed or burned out.

How can you use feedback to develop your team's resilience?
Feedback is not only about things that need to be improved or changed. It is also to acknowledge what is going well. It is to celebrate achievements. It is to honor someone else. When we, as leaders, consistently praise and offer positive feedback to our teams, we can help lessen the fear that feedback only occurs when someone or something needs to change. This removes the negative stigma that so many people often associate with feedback. And if the team feels safe then everyone will feel open to contribute and to show up as their best self. This improves moral, confidence, transparency, communication and honesty. And it also makes it much more likely that any feedback about change or improvement will be heard and accepted.

What are the signs that your clients need to break out of their thinking patterns and be more creative?
Being unable to see ‘possibility’ is a sign you are stuck in your thinking patterns. If you find yourself thinking things like, “This is just the way it is”, then you are denying yourself the opportunity to be creative and to find new, different or better solutions. Asking questions is a great tool to break this cycle! Is it possible that someone somewhere with the same job and responsibilities can get this done in half the time while enjoying the process and without sacrificing quality or care? Technically anything is possible! And if you can open up to the possibility that something is available to someone else, it’s easier to open up to the possibility that it’s available for you. Now your brain will work to solve the problem for you!
